Sunset Heights
Inspired by the overwhelming success of shows like The Hills, The OC and Beverly Hills 90210, Sunset Heights is driven by audience suggestion, which the cast use to spin out a 60-minute “episode” that mimics primetime television. Like these popular teen dramas, the show offers an intoxicating cocktail of storylines filled with witty quips, brooding lovers and dialogue that snaps and crackles like Pop Rocks in vodka. All of which make for what’s bound to be an addictive teenage drama keeping audiences glued to the stage from week to week. Unlike most improv performances, the “episode” plot-lines will carry over and affect future shows, allowing audiences to follow the lives of their favorite characters.
Sunset Heights consists of a nine-member cast from such groundbreaking establishments as Improv Olympic, Second City, The Upright Citizen’s Brigade, and the Groundlings, and with performance credits that include The Office, ER, Las Vegas, Reno 911 and even features a winner from CBS’s The Amazing Race. The ensemble of Sunset Heights – Pete Capella, BJ Averell, Cyrina Fiallo, Mindy Fortune, Eddie Geller, Kimberly Irion, David Magidoff, Jessie Schneiderman and Andy Trask; accompanied by Matt Wood scoring scenes on keyboard — have rehearsed and applied their improvisational expertise to match the formula of an all-American situation teen drama/comedy. Fans also can look forward to surprise celebrity guests throughout the season.
