COG is a long-running IO West team, dedicated to an experimental approach to the IO’s signature piece, the Harold. Founded in 2004 by Dave Hill, Craig Cackowski and Bob Dassie, the original lineup of COG featured equal amounts of Chicago-trained veterans, L.A.-trained veterans and IO West students. COG has played in some the country’s most prestigious improv festivals, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, and UCB NY’s Del Close Marathon. Members emeriti include Bob Dassie, Rachel Barber, Jason Pardo, Tami Sagher, and 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer and Scott Adsit.
